I would like to invite you to share a story of how a woman decided her current version of reality was no longer serving her. How she transformed her World, finding her self worth, letting go of fear and pursuing a life in her zone of genius...
One dark drizzly evening in early 2017, a young professional woman came in late to home after a terrible day in the office.
As she walked into her kitchen, hands full with her laptop, papers and handbag in tow,
She laid eyes on her husband who was standing at the kettle making a cuppa.
With the relief of being home, what was initially silent tears rolling down her face, quickly turned into an eruption of hysterical crying and she physically collapsed to her knees.
As her husband rushed over to see what was wrong, she looked up and with complete terror in her eyes she said ‘I can’t do this anymore!’
Her chest began to constrict tightly and her heart was thumping uncontrollably.
She couldn’t catch her breath, her arms and legs felt heavy with adrenaline, and she felt completely out of control.
Her husband managed to gain eye contact with her, and told her to breathe.
And gradually, after a 10 long minutes feeling like she was having a heart attack, the symptoms of her first panic attack gradually calmed.
While sitting on the floor in her corporate fitted dress, mascara tears running down her cheeks, and her husband embracing her, consoling her, telling her it’s going to be ok.
This was the moment she realised there was something seriously wrong with the version of reality she had created, and this was no longer the life she was willing to compromise for.
And if you haven't already guessed by now, that woman was me.

I ended up being off work with stress and anxiety for 3 months. The panic attacks ramped up to daily occurrences, and fear became a major factor in my every day.
Being a ‘successful’ ambitious person, that had always ‘had her shit together’, This was one of the most scariest times in my life where I didn’t recognise who I was anymore.
After going to the doctors, and not finding it much help. I took the leap, invested in myself and employed 2 coaches that specialised in supporting professional women. This was a game changer.
I quickly realised that on top of navigating a high pressured corporate job, ongoing fertility issues and caring for my beloved nan. For sooo long I had been also neglecting my creative being, which was once so dominant in my life. I also discovered that I needed to do some really important personal work around how I valued myself and seeing the fact that my voice was worthy.
I had lived my life through my ‘head’, what I ‘should be doing’, and following the healthy pay check, and completely neglecting my ‘heart’, what truly lit me up, creativity, innovation, community building, and enabling others, where I am the best version of me, and ultimately where my strengths are.
This realisation was the beginning of me living a more authentic, fulfilling and truly happy life.

My Transformation Journey
Over the last 5 years I have been on a journey of self discovery, motherhood, entrepreneurship, and have learnt to acutely tune into what truly makes me happy and how I want to live my life.
I have learnt to tap into my own intuition, and stop seeking consent from others.
I have learnt by implementing systems and healthy habits into my everyday, ensure the most essential business building activities get done first.
I have learnt that self development and continuous learning is the key to innovation, business endurance and a healthy brain.
I have learnt to stop asking for other people's opinion, particularly people close to me, and have stopped wasting my positive headspace by watching the news and Netflix.
So why am I telling you all of this… well, rather than just introducing my businesses and what I do, I wanted to give you an opportunity to reflect on why you do what you do. And take a little moment to remind yourself that however difficult it may feel on the day to day, pushing your beloved business up that metaphorical hill.
In one, two, three years from now, you will look back and say, ‘I did that’. And living an authentic life that you cannot wait to live every day, is worth every ounce of frustration, overwhelm and tears on that journey.
So ‘Hi’, I’m Jen Maynard, your MomBoss Business Strategist & Transformation Coach. I help women create a life where you don’t have to compromise between growing your dream business empire & being a present mom experiencing life with your family.
